The Shop’s Gold tab turns gold into permanent progress. Almost everything is bought once and kept; the exception is the Gear Upgrade Protection Token, spent per attempt.

These are GOLD limits only; premium packs go past them. The last two lines are on the Event sub-tab, which opens by default.
Buy crew first: every Worker and Mercenary earns around the clock, so buying early pays for itself. Buy slots and titles when a bag is actually full.
