The Shadow

The Shadow1 / 2

Stuck on a stage? Leave a SHADOW on it. Open the stage’s card on the Battle map and press Leave a Shadow. It fights that stage for you, one attempt every 6 minutes, whether you are on the page, elsewhere, or logged out. Every win pushes the stage, and the Shadow carries on against the next level.

  • It uses no food or potions. (Auto Progression does spend your selected meal and potion on every fight.)
  • It fights the REAL fight: battle modifiers, showdown effects and your saved skill priority all apply, exactly as they do when you press Fight yourself.
  • While you are away it banks up to 24 hours of attempts, settled when you next open the game.
  • It never gives up. The only limit is the 24-hour offline catch-up window.
  • You have one Shadow (the Shadow Army pack puts one on every stage with no Mercenary). Moving it to a new stage recalls it from the old one; everything it won is kept.

A Shadow and Mercenaries cannot share a stage. The Shadow pushes stages you cannot beat yet; Mercenaries farm stages you cleared. With the Shadow Army pack, dropping a Mercenary on a stage makes the Shadow there settle up and step aside, returning when the Mercenary leaves.

Recalling and the Record2 / 2
  • Recall it from the stage’s card, or from the Recall Shadow plate above the Battle map’s crew camp (the blue plate shows if it is out and where). With the Shadow Army pack the plate reads Shadow Army Working.
  • A stage the Shadow is fighting wears a thick light-blue streak on the map, with the Shadow’s own marker beneath it.
  • When you return after time away, the “While you were away” report names the attempts made, the wins, the EXP and gold banked, and every stage it pushed.
  • The Record button beside the Shadow plate shows its lifetime record: stages pushed, attempts and win rate, per stage and overall.
