Chat and Settings

Live Chat1 / 3

One global room, opened from the G-Host button on the rail. The window floats, can be resized, and remembers the size you left it at. It connects on its own when you load a page, so the unread dot on the rail lights whether or not you had it open.

  • Every line carries the date and time it was sent, in your own time zone.
  • Messages are kept for a few days and then swept, so the room is a conversation rather than an archive.
  • There is a rate limit of a few messages a minute. It is there to stop flooding and you will not meet it in normal use.
  • Guest accounts cannot post. Save your Chronicle and the room opens.

A dungeon leader can post a RALLY into the room — a call for players with a Join link on it. See The Party Rally in the Dungeon chapter.

Settings2 / 3

The Settings button sits in the top bar beside Log Out. Everything in it is a display or notification choice — nothing in Settings changes how a fight resolves.

  • SOUND: on or off.
  • DAMAGE SKIN: how the floating combat numbers look. The default is free; the rest come with the damage skin bundle from the Shop.
  • NUMBER FORMAT: how big numbers are written. See Damage Numbers below.
  • COMBAT LOGS: apply that same number format to the written combat log as well as the floating numbers.
  • NOTIFICATIONS: whether a dungeon rally shows you a banner.

These choices live on your character, not in the browser, so they follow you to another device.

Damage Numbers3 / 3

Numbers that float off a hit are the game telling you what landed: white for an ordinary hit, orange for a critical, green for a heal, and a grey word for a dodge. Anything else — a cap that bit, a defense ignore that landed — arrives as a small badge stacked above the number.

Late-game hits run to eight and nine digits, which is exactly when Compressed stops the number being wider than the screen.
