The whole manual, open to read before you start — every stat, curve, drop rate and rule the game runs on. Nothing here is hidden from new players.
A SECOND tree on its own tab, not a fifth pathway. You can read it from the start, but nothing can be learned until you hold an APEX node: Execution, Revenge, Manipulation or Shadow Dance.
It is exempt from pathway exclusivity in both directions: spending here never counts as a second pathway, and committing to a pathway never closes any of it.
AL Mastery is the THIRD tree, beside the Combat tree on the same tab, and it opens on the same condition: any battle APEX held. It spends the same Mastery Points as the other two, and it is priced for a character who has already finished them.
RESET MP refunds by SCOPE, so you can reset AL Mastery on its own without touching your pathway or the Combat tree.
Past each APEX is an APEX+ pair: CHOOSE ONE of two nodes, and it is FREE — no Mastery Points at all. It needs that pathway's APEX plus character level 300.
| Pathway | Choose one of |
|---|---|
| Physical | Bloody Accuracy or Last Stand |
| Defense | Improved Jagged Spikes or Impeccable Defense |
| Magical | Empowered Bulwark or Divine Grace |
| Elusive | Ambush or Improved Skip! |
The pair is exclusive — picking one locks the other out until a reset. Each node has its own section in this chapter, with what it does and what it gives up.
Holding any APEX+ node unlocks CROSS MASTERY: pick ONE node from a FOREIGN pathway and learn it at its normal cost, with its prerequisites waived. Each pathway pairing has a fixed shortlist, and every pick has one DEEPER node beneath it — max your pick and the one under it opens, at its original cost.
| Your pathway | Crossing into | Pick one chain |
|---|---|---|
| Physical | Elusive | Poison Blade → Malicious Intent, or Skip! → Improved Skip! |
| Physical | Defense | Immovable Fortress → Revenge, or Boomerang Shield → Jagged Spikes |
| Defense | Physical | Titan's Resilience → Burst of Slashes |
| Defense | Magical | Life of the Party → Manipulation |
| Magical | Defense | Boomerang Shield → Jagged Spikes, or Spiked Carapace → Improved Spikes |
| Magical | Elusive | Skip! → Improved Skip!, or Poison Blade → Haste Isn't Wasted |
| Elusive | Physical | Titan's Resilience → Burst of Slashes |
| Elusive | Magical | Life of the Party → Manipulation |
One chain at a time. RESET MP clears it and lets you choose again.
Physical Attack and Spell Damage each floor at the other, so a node crossed out of a pathway that trades in the other damage currency still does something. That is what makes crossing safe for a caster and for a fighter alike.
At the bottom is the PINNACLE tier: one choose-one pair per pathway, 100 Mastery Points, unlocked once your Cross Mastery chain is COMPLETE — the crossed node and the deeper node beneath it, both maxed.
The pair you are offered follows your ORIGINALLY committed pathway, not the one you crossed into. Both nodes have their own sections in the Pinnacle Tier chapter.
| Tree | Cost to take everything in it (MP) |
|---|---|
| Physical Pathway | 75 — APEX included, APEX+ free |
| Defense Pathway | 75 — APEX included, APEX+ free |
| Magical Pathway | 75 — APEX included, APEX+ free |
| Elusive Pathway | 75 — APEX included, APEX+ free |
| Pinnacle pick | 100 for the one node you choose |
Every pathway costs the same, so the choice is never about price. Every node has its own section with its own price, and the two later trees are priced separately again.
Every node is learned WHOLE: one press buys it at full effect and charges the whole cost. A node you took by mistake can be unlearned on its own — right-click it on the Mastery page, or press and hold on a phone — and anything hanging beneath it goes with it, refunded.
RESET MP is the bigger hammer: it refunds every point in a scope and lets you start that tree again. The scopes are separate, so resetting AL Mastery leaves your pathway alone.
Nothing is ever lost for good. Changing pathway costs you the time, not the points — which is why picking one to try is a safer decision than it looks.
